Thank you for using FlightLynk. Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you use the FlightLynk app.

1. Information We Collect

When you use FlightLynk, we may collect:

  • Account Information: name, email address, and encrypted authentication credentials.
  • Settings and Preferences: your app configuration and feature preferences.
  • Communication Preferences: whether you opted in to product update emails.
  • Usage and Analytics Data: app usage events, feature interaction data, crash and performance diagnostics, and app/device instance identifiers (for example through Firebase Analytics).

2. How and Why We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Store and apply your settings and preferences.
  • Communicate important service and product updates (when you opted in where required).
  • Verify accounts and maintain platform integrity.
  • Improve app functionality, quality, and reliability.

Under GDPR, our legal bases include performance of a contract, legitimate interests (security, improvement, and service operations), and consent where applicable (such as optional marketing communications).

3. Data Sharing and Processors

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with trusted service providers that process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards, such as:

  • Supabase (backend infrastructure and storage)
  • Firebase (analytics, diagnostics, and reliability monitoring)

We may also disclose information when required to:

  • Comply with legal obligations or lawful government requests.
  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of FlightLynk, our users, or the public.

4. International Data Transfers

Some providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where this happens, we apply appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your personal data.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, secure infrastructure, access controls, and periodic security reviews.

6. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary:

  • Account data: while your account is active and for up to 24 months after account closure, unless a longer period is required by law.
  • Analytics data: generally up to 14 months in aggregated or pseudonymized form.
  • Security and system logs: generally up to 90 days, unless required for incident investigation or legal compliance.
  • Backups: retained on a rolling basis for up to 35 days.

FlightLynk is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
